Position Overview
The 2nd Shift Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shipping and warehouse operations on second shift, ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely handling of all incoming and outgoing materials. This role provides direct supervision to shipping personnel, supports inventory control processes, and partners with cross-functional teams to meet production and customer requirements. The Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a positive, safety-focused work environment. Responsibilities * Supervise, coach, and develop shipping department employees * Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement * Provide clear direction on daily priorities and monitor workflow throughout the shift * Address employee concerns, provide feedback, and support training and development initiatives * Oversee preparation and processing of all outgoing shipments, including banding, wrapping, and labeling of finished goods * Ensure accurate entry and processing of shipping transactions within the ERP system * Supervise loading, unloading, storage, and movement of materials throughout the warehouse and production areas * Coordinate incoming shipments, including unloading, inspection, and proper storage * Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shipping and storage areas * Monitor inventory levels and maintain accuracy through cycle counts and system updates * Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner * Ensure all materials are properly labeled and tagged for tracking and traceability * Communicate inventory needs or shortages to purchasing and operations teams * Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with all safety procedures * Promote a safety-first culture and actively participate in safety initiatives * Support quality standards by addressing and resolving shipping or product quality issues * Collaborate with production, customer service, and scheduling to ensure on-time shipments * Monitor key performance indicators and communicate performance results to leadership * Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency enhancements * Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipping and inventory activities Qualifications *
