Federal FOIA/Privacy Act Lead

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid/Onsite)

Clearance: Ability to pass federal background investigation

About the Role

A Federal FOIA/Privacy Act Lead is needed to lead FOIA and related records-disclosure activities for a federal agency. This role manages complex FOIA cases, ensures compliance with law and policy, and drives process improvements.

Responsibilities:




  • Manage end-to-end processing of FOIA and Privacy Act requests, from intake through final response.



  • Coordinate records searches with program offices and review documents for responsiveness.



  • Apply FOIA and Privacy Act exemptions, perform redactions, and prepare response packages.



  • Maintain case logs and documentation and track workflow and deadlines.



  • Advise leadership and staff on FOIA requirements and provide training as needed.



  • Qualifications




Required Experience:




  • 5+ years of FOIA/Privacy Act experience in a federal or similar environment.



  • Deep knowledge of FOIA, the Privacy Act, and exemption application.



  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.



  • Excellent writing skills for responses and documentation.



  • Work Authorization




U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a federal background check.

Salary - $99,000 - $110,000

LCAT - Principal FOIA Analyst

Contingent upon contract award
