Job Overview

This role independently manages EHS programs and projects impacting multiple teams or functions. It conducts risk assessments, develops preventive controls, and executes safety audits to ensure compliance with standards. The role identifies hazards, investigates incidents, and recommends corrective actions to maintain a safe workplace. It also provides guidance to teams on best practices that support environmental stewardship and employee well-being.

Accountabilities

1. Deliver EHS Program Activities
Implements programs that maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Ensures documentation and operational practices meet defined standards. Identifies improvement opportunities and proposes enhancements.
2. Conduct Hazard and Risk Assessments
Evaluates operational areas to identify environmental and safety hazards. Develops recommended controls to reduce risks to acceptable levels. Ensures hazard information is communicated to relevant teams.
3. Lead Safety Audits
Executes scheduled audits to monitor adherence to EHS protocols. Documents findings and collaborates with teams to resolve identified issues. Follows up to ensure corrective actions are completed.
4. Investigate Incidents
Conducts incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. Applies best practices and past precedent to guide evaluations. Communicates results to leadership and operational teams.
5. Provide EHS Training Support
Delivers training to employees to reinforce safe work behaviors. Ensures content aligns with regulatory requirements and site?specific needs. Promotes consistent understanding of environmental and safety expectations.
