TEKsystems is hiring an Entry Level IT Desktop Technician to support hardware installation for the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS). This position will be on a team focused on IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, Disposal) of desktops, laptops, and printers for field sites between Denver and Colorado Springs. Travel time to any field site will be considered paid time.
*Responsibilities:* - Receiving in of equipment from shipping and receiving - Inventorying of equipment - Movement of equipment within the staging area - Organization of monthly equipment orders by Customer purchase order and line item number - Un-boxing of equipment - Verification that asset tag is affixed to unit and that the information on the tag matches the unit S/N and all other information on the tag is correct - Imaging of equipment as required by Customer line item order - Re-boxing and labeling of equipment - Matching line item order equipment and any associated accessories together in preparation for transport to Customer site for onsite IMACD work activities - Completing all necessary paperwork - Available for onsite IMACD work activities when deemed necessary - Miscellaneous work as required to fulfill Customer obligations *Requirements:* We will consider any candidates who possess either IT Support experience, an IT focused Degree/Bootcamp, or are in pursuit of an IT certification. Candidates will be subjected to a State Criminal Background Check Candidates will be subjected to a Federal Drug test (includes screening for marijuana) *Important Details about this position:* The clock starts when you arrive at the warehouse in Colorado Springs, meaning that drive time to client sites counts as working hours. This position will support locations up and down the front range. This position will involve driving a personal vehicle to client sites. There are company vehicles to tag along in from time to time however you must be prepared to sue your own vehicle as well. You will get reimbursed for mileage if the daily mileage is over 100 miles at $0.66/mile. You are also paid for all driving time. This position includes 6 days of paid sick leave per year, but does not have paid vacation or holiday time as it is an hourly position. We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
