Supplier Quality Engineer Reports to: Quality Systems Manager Quality All Fab Full time Position Summary Supplier Quality Engineer will conduct internal and supplier quality audits, maintain supplier quality database. This role will also help support customer and regulatory body audits and assist in maintaining the quality management system. Key Responsibilities
- Perform supplier audits/surveys, maintain Approved Supplier List
- Assist in customer and external audits
- Perform internal quality audits
- Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System
- May assist with internal training and maintenance of records
Minimum Requirements:
- Current NQA1 Lead Auditor Qualification with documentation.
- Four-year degree in a technical field (or High School diploma and eight years of quality experience)
- Minimum four years (or eight with high school diploma) of quality engineering related experience in a fabrication and machining environment such as working with codes, standards and specifications, auditing, SPC, preparing procedures and other quality related documents, inspection, NDE, etc...
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Working knowledge of NQA-1, ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and proper auditing techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract information from complex documentation
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well with others
- Possess valid driver's license and passport/able to obtain a passport.
- Must be familiar with inspection equipment calibration requirements and inspection and NDE processes
- Knowledge of fabrication codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, AWS, MIL, ASNT
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to identify and evaluate quality concerns/conditions
- Committed to working professionally with coworkers, suppliers and customers
- Ability to work in a variety of fabrication and machine shop environments.

Working Conditions:

Availability/Travel:
- Regular and reliable attendance required.
- Willingness to work overtime as business needs dictate.
- Ability to travel as required to support audits, customers, or business operations.
