Dining Services Associate Position Overview
As a Dining Services Associate (DSA), you will play an important role in meal preparation, service, and delivery while ensuring resident satisfaction and adherence to dietary requirements and safety standards. This position helps maintain a welcoming dining experience and supports the overall quality of care provided to residents. Responsibilities
Dining Services Associate Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of meals according to department procedures and assigned responsibilities
- Follow resident diet orders, texture modifications, and menu preferences during meal preparation and service
- Serve meals and beverages to residents in dining areas as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dining, and service areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, coworkers, and supervisors
- Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and in-service programs
- Properly utilize electronic systems and timekeeping procedures
- Support Elderwood's Mission, Vision, and Values in daily interactions and responsibilities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership team members
Qualifications
Dining Services Associate Qualifications

Minimum of 16 years of age -
Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals -
Prior customer service experience -
ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain -
Physical stamina necessary for constant activity -
HS diploma or equivalent preferred -
Prior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desired - This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
