THE ROLE:

The Vice President, Global Corporate Brand & Storyground leads two core creative functions within A+E Global Media's Marketing division: the Global Corporate Brand team - which oversees B2B trade marketing, business narratives, executive communications, internal communications, and brand creative - and Storyground, A+E Global Media's branded content studio, which partners with Ad Sales to develop custom branded content and advertising creative, delivering sold campaign executions.

This role serves as the senior creative and narrative leader across both functions, owning creative vision, quality standards, enterprise storytelling, and executive-level client relationships while enabling strong senior creative leaders to manage daily execution. The VP is accountable for the creative and strategic effectiveness of both teams, including pitch excellence, post-sale delivery quality, narrative consistency, and the development of a strong creative culture.

This role also serves as a central creative and narrative leader for A+E Global Media, shaping how the company presents itself to internal stakeholders, external partners, and the broader marketplace. The VP defines and upholds the voice, tone, and creative expression of the brand across external-facing work and internal communications, ensuring consistency, clarity, and cultural relevance at every touchpoint.

Working in close partnership with the senior leadership, this role plays a critical part in helping lead and evolve both divisions, ensuring alignment across business priorities, brand expression, operating model, and revenue-driving initiatives. The VP partners closely with Media Solutions, Digital, Programming, Distribution, Global Content Sales, Research, Production, and senior leadership across the company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Global Corporate Brand:

  • Business Narratives - Lead the development support pitches and presentations for major deals, advertising partnerships, affiliate renegotiations, content sales initiatives, executive communications, and other high-priority business needs. Own the creative vision, visual strategy, and narrative structure while partnering closely with Media Solutions, Distribution, Global Content Sales, and Research. Serve as the central point of narrative development, bringing deep industry knowledge and mastery of A+E Global Media's brands, series, and differentiators.
  • Serve as the steward of A+E Global Media's voice and narrative, ensuring consistency across external messaging, internal communications, executive storytelling, and major enterprise initiatives. Ensure alignment of creative output across all internal-facing and external-facing communications, maintaining a cohesive and recognizable brand presence across the organization.
  • Define and evolve the enterprise narrative framework for A+E Global Media, ensuring key business priorities, partnerships, and communications are anchored in a clear, consistent, and strategically aligned story.
  • Multidisciplinary Creative Oversight - Oversee the Corporate Brand creative team by guiding the creative process, shaping briefs, and elevating work quality. Partner closely with Creative Directors to ensure work meets the highest creative and strategic standards. Maintain alignment across all collateral by evolving and enforcing creative guidelines and acting as the final creative checkpoint prior to internal or client-facing release.
  • Corporate Digital - Own and advance A+E Global Media's B2B digital presence across the Media Solutions Portfolio site, aegm.com, Global Content Sales Site, and A+E Factual Studios site, and other B2B sites. Champion digital-first formats and new ways of digital storytelling, evangelizing and integrating new products and tools for the team.
  • Internal Communications & Cultural Brand Leadership - Lead the creative development of internal communications, leadership messaging, and cultural storytelling initiatives, ensuring alignment between company values, leadership priorities, and employee experience.
  • Creative Strategy - Define and evolve the team's creative strategy, fostering strong critical thinking and concept development. Lead brainstorms and develop original creative solutions across business needs including campaign concepts, video ideas, naming systems, communication plans, digital product recommendations, and competitive benchmarking.

Storyground:

  • Team Oversight - Lead and develop the Storyground branded content studio, setting the creative vision, quality bar, and pitch standards for the team. Partner with senior creative leaders to build scalable workflow infrastructure, develop team capabilities, and ensure all creative output reflects A+E Global Media's best-in-class standard for branded content.
  • Pitch Leadership & Client Partnerships - Serve as the senior point of contact for Media Solutions advertisers, and brand partners on Storyground engagements. Lead or co-lead major pitch presentations; build and maintain executive-level client relationships that position A+E Global Media as a best-in-class branded content partner and drive repeat business.
  • Contribute to the growth and expansion of branded content revenue by strengthening client relationships, identifying new partnership opportunities, and improving pitch effectiveness across the business.
  • Post-Sale Creative Oversight - Ensure sold campaign executions meet the creative standard established in the pitch phase. Sign off on major deliverables, resolve escalated production or creative challenges, and maintain client satisfaction through post-sale delivery.

Executive & Strategic Leadership:

  • Executive Projects - Executive communications and presentations support-helping oversee production for speaking engagements, including Senior Management Team meetings, town halls, and key internal events for the Office of the President & Chairman.
  • Strategic Support - Collaborate with senior Marketing leadership on high-priority departmental initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on brand positioning, messaging, and creative strategy, helping shape how the company communicates both internally and externally.
  • Serve as a central connector across Marketing, Media Solutions, Distribution, Programming, Digital, and Corporate functions, ensuring alignment of messaging, priorities, and creative output across the enterprise.
  • Represent A+E Global Media externally with agency, advertiser, and partner communities, reinforcing the company's position as a leader in branded content, business storytelling, and creative excellence.

People Leadership & Operations:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Corporate Brand and Storyground creative teams. Provide clear feedback, career development support, and performance management as needed.
  • Partner with division leaders to build efficient workflows, optimize organizational design, and protect team capacity while maintaining high standards of output across both functions.
  • Define and evolve the creative operating model across Corporate Brand and Storyground, establishing clear workflows, decision-making frameworks, and team structures that enable scale, efficiency, and creative excellence.
  • Build bench strength across both teams through thoughtful hiring, succession planning, and capability development.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 12+ years of experience in branded content, creative leadership, advertising, media partnerships, brand marketing, or related fields
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing creative teams across multiple functions
  • Strong commercial instincts and experience driving revenue through creative pitches, partnerships, and business narratives
  • Deep knowledge of the branded content landscape across linear, digital, and social media
  • Executive-level communication and client relationship management skills; comfortable presenting to C-suite, agency leadership, and senior internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to shape enterprise narratives, executive communications, and internal/external brand expression
  • Ability to balance competing creative and business priorities and lead at speed in a high-visibility, pitch-driven environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Production, Programming, Distribution, and other senior stakeholders
  • Strong organizational leadership skills, including team development, operating model design, and cross-functional alignment
  • High proficiency in Keynote and PowerPoint; strong presentation development and visual storytelling sensibility
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Airtable, and Box preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred
  • Existing relationships in the advertising, agency, and brand partnership ecosystem preferred
Compensation Annual Pay Range: $215,987 - $252,705 Annual Incentive Target: 25.00%
