The Department of Neurosciences Center for Neural Repair studies mechanisms of neural repair and regeneration in CNS injury models using a combinatorial approach of stem cell and gene therapies, rehabilitation and axonal guidance. Incumbent will independently perform routine cell culture (including expansion, passaging and freeze/thaw) of various human embryonic stem cell (hESC) cultures and related functions. Primary responsibilities include the differentiation of hESCs into different central nervous system regional-specific neuronal progenitor cells and neurons, and characterization of neuronal phenotypes by molecular analysis and immunocytochemistry. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed and accurate records, monitoring and maintaining inventory, and performing related molecular biology procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $65,208 - $104,901 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $31.23 - $50.24 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
