We are looking to grow our team and fill the position of Industrial Engineer.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Industrial Engineer to support division and plant manufacturing objectives by improving quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance through the application of industrial engineering principles. This role develops & maintains product performance standards, establishes budgets, and leads & supports continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes, quality systems, cost control, automation, and workforce effectiveness within a textile manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Performance Standards & Continuous Improvement



  • Support division manufacturing objectives for improving quality, delivery, and cost through implementation and improvement of industrial engineering systems, including:


    • Product Performance Standards for Productivity and Yield
    • Annual Budgets for Machine Hours, Labor, Materials, and Overhead.
    • Materials Handling optimization
    • Cost reduction planning and productivity improvement
    • Employee involvement initiatives
    • Wage administration support
    • Industrial Engineering technology application and management training
    • Industrial Engineering human resource planning



Cost Reduction & Cost Control



  • Lead and manage cost reduction initiatives related to improving quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and enhance manufacturing cost control systems to support plant and division objectives.
  • Analyze labor, material, overhead, and process costs; recommend and implement corrective actions.


Automation & Technology



  • Apply automated manufacturing solutions where appropriate to solve quality, delivery, and cost challenges.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and assist with the installation of electronic monitoring and control systems.
  • Ensure systems deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and data visibility.


Customer Service & Production Flow



  • Support delivery performance and productivity through implementation of JIT manufacturing principles.
  • Support manufacturing scheduling, inventory reduction, and throughput improvement initiatives.


Professional Development & Best Practices



  • Stay current with industrial engineering trends, tools, and best practices relevant to textile manufacturing.
  • Recommend changes in policies, procedures, and engineering practices to improve overall plant performance.



Required Qualifications

Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.


Experience



  • 3-7 years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within textile, apparel, or highvolume manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with cost reduction, process improvement, quality systems, and production optimization.


Technical Skills



  • Strong knowledge of:


    • Industrial engineering principles and methods
    • Lean manufacturing and JIT systems
    • Statistical analysis and quality tools
    • Work measurement and labor standards
    • Manufacturing cost control systems and budgets development.
    • Automation and manufacturing monitoring/control technologies
    • Textile manufacturing and processes preferred but not required


  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and manufacturing systems (ERP/MES preferred).

Physical & Work Environment Requirements



  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, noise, and production floor conditions.
