Position Summary

Seeking experienced Production Welder to join 2nd Shift production team. The Production Welder role supports daily production of the Weld area by performing high-precision orbital, lathe and laser welding operations.

As a Production Welder, your primary responsibility is setting up, operating, and maintaining orbital welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on stainless steel tubes, fittings, valve and regulator bodies, and other related components. This role ensures compliance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements. Daily interaction occurs with other production welders and the weld area lead. This role reports to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

* Perform welding tasks with a high degree of precision and skill in accordance with specifications
* Read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics
* Operate various welding equipment, including GTAW orbital, lathe, and laser welding machines
* Assess and select appropriate welding methods and materials
* Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks
* Ensure all welding tasks comply with safety and quality standards
* Conduct welding inspections and quality control procedures
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

  • Proficiency in various GTAW welding techniques including, but not limited to, orbital, lathe and laser welding

  • Ability to work with various high-purity stainless steel materials

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Skilled in performing quality control inspections and weld testing

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds

  • Willing to work daily and weekend overtime as needed

  • Detail-oriented with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn on the job.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively under supervision are essential.

  • Ability to self-manage workload to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets

Education/Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Associate degree or technical/trade certificate in welding technology, manufacturing or similar; or equivalent experience is preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a welder is preferred
* Strong knowledge of welding standards and safety protocols
* Certified Welder status (AWS, CWB, or equivalent) preferred

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range determined by Union Contract: $19.22/hr to $29.09/hr
