Our global ecommerce retail client is looking for an experienced Event Ops Manager to help execute their events strategy. The ideal candidate will lead with creativity and have a diverse experience planning and executing events, including trade shows, industry events, and experiential marketing activations. They will be able to recommend and activate strategies such as conference attendance, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, partnerships and more. The ideal candidate would have experience in conceptualizing booth and activation design and is an expert in working with marketing agencies. This role is a critical to the Marketplace marketing team, with the goal of attracting and tracking new leads and generating awareness and interest for the brand. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to help build relationships with customers. ***PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid and can be out of the Hoboken, NJ office or the San Bruno, CA office. There is 40 - 50% domestic travel (for event days) required for the role*** You will make an impact by:
- Managing the planning and execution of third-party (3P) events with a clear understanding of market opportunity, from initial concept through post-event assessment.
- Leading trade show activations, including booth strategy and presence, onsite and experiential engagements, offsite activations, and all content and speaker management.
- Owning the full event lifecycle -from inception to completion - ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Creating compelling event designs and experiences that resonate with target audiences and support brand and revenue goals.
- Driving financial management, including budget development and oversight, expense tracking, invoice processing, and timely post-event reconciliation and reporting.
- Managing go-to-market event playbooks, including detailed work-back schedules, timelines, and execution plans for each event.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to define target client segments, refine audience strategies, and align event goals with broader marketing initiatives.
- Executing post-event lead management, including consolidation, CRM uploads, tracking, and reporting to support pipeline development.
- Integrating event tactics into omni-channel marketing campaigns to generate new leads and nurture prospects through the funnel.
- Evaluating event performance by compiling, analyzing, and reporting on key metrics and KPIs to inform future strategy.
- Sourcing and managing event services from vendors, agencies, and partners, ensuring quality delivery and alignment with brand standards.
- Leading vendor negotiations, including pricing, scope, and deliverables, to maximize value and ensure cost efficiency.
- Managing contract development and execution with vendors, venues, and partners, ensuring compliance with legal, procurement, and company policies.
- Overseeing payment processing workflows, including purchase orders, vendor payments, and coordination with finance and procurement teams to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Traveling as needed to support on-the-ground event management and execution.
- Partnering with internal business units to identify and execute mutually beneficial event opportunities.
- Communicating effectively across teams to share plans, updates, insights, and results.
- Identifying and maximizing value-add opportunities while demonstrating strong commercial and business acumen.
- Sharing best practices and maintaining knowledge of new suppliers, services, technologies, and venues to continuously elevate event strategy and execution.

- You have 4+ years of relevant event experience. MUST HAVE TRADESHOWS!
- You are experienced using Salesforce, Airtable or other Martech/ CRM solutions
- You bring a track record of managing event marketing growth strategies (in a B2B setting preferred)
- You are a confident communicator with strong analytical and writing skills
- You have experience working with Business Development teams and a strong understanding of how event marketing supports business KPIs
- You have strong project management, negotiation skills and organization skills
- You bring vendor management experience
- You are willing to travel for events and team meetings, 45-50% of the time
- Experience in retail, ecommerce an added plus
