Structural Design Intern

Provide support to GBP's Design/Graphics Department. This individual will create structural designs, prototype samples and assist with artwork/graphics for the Sales Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Work closely with design team to achieve daily tasks. * Packaging development, including prototyping, testing, and documentation for all business units. * Assist with equipment testing and machine tryouts related to packaging implementation. * Assist in the packaging cost estimating process. * Develop knowledge of materials used and packaging assembly processes. * Value Added/Value Engineered packaging improvements. * Create, review, update and circulate packaging specifications. * Gather critical requirements and research product alternatives. * Interact cross-functionally supporting various packaging materials projects.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Familiarity with Artios CAD (both 2D and 3D0, Tops and Adobe Illustrator CC * Possess strong hands-on and mechanical skills with familiarity of hand and power tools. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. REQUIREMENTS * Working toward a BA or certificate from a Fine Arts program/Graphic Design school. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to see color and distinguish colors precisely.
