Pay Rate: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Shift: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Some weekend work may be necessary)

What You Bring to the Table as a CNC Programmer and Machinist



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 7+ years of multi-axis CNC programming experience (3-5 axis) in aerospace manufacturing
  • 5+ years of CNC mill and lathe setup and operation experience
  • Strong proficiency with Mastercam and CNC programming tools
  • Experience with HAAS, Fanuc, OKK controls (Thermwood and Doosan preferred)
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
  • Solid understanding of shop math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry)
  • Proficient with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical shop work
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience machining aerospace materials including aluminum, titanium, composites, honeycomb, carbon fiber, plastics, and phenolics
  • Experience with surface modeling and CAD/CAM integration
  • Fixture design and fabrication experience
  • Strong knowledge of 5-axis swarfing and advanced toolpath strategies


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and optimize 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC programs using Mastercam
  • Create efficient machining strategies from blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications
  • Build detailed setup sheets, tooling lists, and manufacturing work instructions
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes including HAAS, Thermwood, CMS, Multicam, and Doosan (live tooling/sub-spindle)
  • Load programs, establish work offsets, and verify tool and reference points
  • Perform first article inspections, validate results, and adjust programs as needed
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling problems, and process deviations
  • Perform preventive maintenance and document machine performance
  • Collaborate with shop floor teams to debug and improve CNC programs
  • Support RFQ estimates, cost reduction initiatives, and manufacturability improvements
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards, OSHA regulations, and 5S practices
  • Maintain accurate program revisions and configuration control
