Job Overview

The Business Intelligence Analyst partners with the Hubbell Utility Solutions Operations organization to design and deploy advanced analytical solutions that enhance supply chain performance and decision-making. This role focuses on developing scalable data models, predictive insights, and intelligent reporting frameworks that drive operational efficiency and business value. By integrating domain expertise in supply chain operations with data science methodologies, the analyst transforms complex, multi-source datasets into actionable insights.


The role plays a critical part in forecasting demand, optimizing inventory strategies, improving supplier performance, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. Success in this position requires strong proficiency in data modeling, statistical analysis, and automation along with hands-on experience in Power BI and familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform. A curiosity-driven mindset, combined with the ability to solve complex business problems using data and automation, is essential.

A Day In The Life

Advanced Analytics & Data Visualization



  • Develop and deploy semantic models and statistical analyses to support demand forecasting, inventory optimization and supply chain risk management
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques to uncover patterns, trends, and root causes within supply chain data
  • Leverage AI and automation to enhance analytical capabilities and drive continuous improvement


  • Design intuitive dashboards and visualizations (Power BI) that communicate complex insights effectively


Supply Chain Optimization



  • Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes (planning, procurement, inventory, logistics) to identify optimization opportunities
  • Develop KPIs and performance frameworks to monitor operational effectiveness and drive accountability
  • Support strategic initiatives through data-driven insights and quantitative analysis
  • Evaluate the impact of process improvements and operational changes


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement



  • Champion data literacy by training users on Power BI navigation, report interpretation, and best practices for self-service analytics
  • Act as a subject matter expert, promoting data literacy and upskilling teams on analytic tools and best practices
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Present data-driven recommendations to leadership, influencing strategic and operational decisions
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to improve data quality and set up new pipelines and tables
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, IT, Logistics, and Customer Service to deliver analytical solutions

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • 2-5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or business intelligence, ideally within supply chain or operations
  • Strong expertise in Power BI semantic modeling, DAX and Power BI required.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis methodologies
  • Familiarity with Python and the Microsoft Azure environment for data analysis and modeling
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and building scalable analytical solutions
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to connect data insights to business outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to coach and train the user community in harnessing Power BI
