Description Lincoln HospitalNursing/Clinical Support For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Emergency Department Techs: 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time positions. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Summary: The Emergency Department is a 14 bed unit that serves as the first point of contact for patients of every age who require immediate or emergency medical attention and care. Emergency department physicians and nurses assess and rapidly treata variety of patients to include those who are critically ill or present with signs of physiological instability. The emergency department staff also respond and support emergencies such as cardiac arrest, stroke, respiratory failure or patient instability for the inpatient units of the hospital. The Emergency Department Technician II - LH PBH WH role assists the healthcare team in organizing and implementing basic department activities such as stocking, results retrieval and patient tracking. Under the guidance of the physician/advanced practice practitioner, this role will perform patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, EKG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
