RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a team of multidisciplinary scientists to deploy gene editing (such as base editing and prime editing), delivery (such as AAV), and protein evolution technologies developed in the lab)
  • Advance current technologies to incorporate new biological and therapeutic models, genotypic readouts, and data acquisition and computational analysis approaches
  • Identify goals, formulate strategies, execute research, and communicate findings
  • Understand the fundamentals of other projects in the lab and serve as a thought partner to Dr. Liu and other lab trainees

QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD in Chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering, computational biology, or a related field
  • Strong technical background, rigorous mindset, and creativity in problem-solving
  • Passion for technology development and collaborative science
  • Proven ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding recommendations from prior research supervisors
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic professional environment with multiple overlapping and shifting objectives
  • Enjoys collaborating with and influencing peers across a flatter organizational structure
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication
The expected base pay range for this position as listed above is based on a 40 hour per week schedule. Broad provides pay ranges representing its reasonable and good faith estimate of what the organization reasonably expects to pay for a position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, qualifications, and other factors permissible by law.
