JOB TITLE: Human Resources Intern


Location: North Fort Myers, FL


Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week; flexible to accommodate academic commitments


Position Summary: Temporary paid internship supporting the Organizational Development (OD) Program Manager with learning initiatives, change management efforts, content development, and the evaluation of program metrics. The role also provides limited support for general Human Resources operations initiatives, as needed. This internship offers hands-on experience in organizational development practices, HR technology, and employee learning initiatives within a professional HR environment.

Position Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with the Organizational Development Program Manager to support, promote, and enhance development programs through clear, engaging communication and basic branding/marketing efforts.
  • Assist with branding and marketing of OD programs, services and courses.
  • Support OD initiatives through clear, engaging communication materials.
  • Assist in transforming instructor-led course content into online learning materials by editing, proofreading, and formatting for clarity, consistency, and digital delivery.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining Organizational Development content, including supporting optimization of the SharePoint resource page for usability, accessibility, and ease of navigation.
  • Assist with awareness and adoption of Learning Management System (LMS), as well as utilization efforts.
  • Support efforts to convert existing Word-based documents into automated workflows using HR technology applications.
  • Review and summarize feedback and survey data to assist in identifying and tracking metrics such as utilization, net promoter score (NPS), and participation in Organizational Development programs.
  • May assist with onboarding processes and new hire coordination.
  • May provide administrative and project support for general Human Resources initiatives.
  • May support HR Business Partners with basic recruiting activities, including applicant review, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Education



  • Currently enrolled as a junior- or senior-level student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning and Development, or a related field. This opportunity is also open to recent graduates who have earned degrees in these areas.


Experience



  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the aptitude and willingness to learn SharePoint and other HR technology platforms. (Required
  • Website creation and/ or design. (Preferred)

  • Genuine interest in employee learning, organizational development, and the use of HR technology to support related initiatives. (Required)
  • Ability to edit and format content across a variety of mediums. (Required)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. (Required)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner and exercise sound judgment and discretion. (Required)
  • Understanding of basic marketing principles to help drive awareness and participation in Organizational Development programs. (Required)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. (Required)
