Under the supervision of the Dean of STEM or Designee, the preferred candidate will be able to plan, organize, and teach college-level courses in the Mechanical Design Technology curriculum. The emphasis of the Mechanical Design Technology program is to graduate mechanical designers who foremost understand the engineering design process; who are able to design and analyze mechanical components and assemblies; who are able to create 3D solid models and 2D detailed drawings for parts and assemblies of mechanical
and electromechanical systems. The candidate will be expected to teach courses in mechanical design, applied mechanics, CAD (Solidworks, Pro-E
/Creo, Inventor and /or Autocad courses), and other related courses specific to the program.
Start Date: This position supports the STEM Pathway and is available to start in fall semester 2026.
Hours: This is a part-time faculty pool position. This is an "applicant pool" posting. Assignments are temporary, not guaranteed, can vary in hours/days, and will depend entirely on course availability and department needs each semester. All work must be performed in the state of Wisconsin. We are seeking candidates with flexibility to teach assignments to include any combination of the following:
Instructional Modality: In-person
Teaching Times: Daytime, evening, and/or weekend classes
Salary: The starting hourly wage for all part-time faculty is $40 per course hour of teaching. Part-time faculty are also compensated for an additional 45 minutes of time for each hour of instruction to cover office hours and prep time which is equivalent to $70 per hour. This starting hourly wage of $40 an hour is non-negotiable.
