Job Summary

Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the quality assurance program in support of manufacturing objectives and sales goals to achieve operational excellence, superior product, service quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Ensures an ISO 9001:2015 compliant quality management system and other required certifications andapprovals are maintained in accordance with Southwire standard processes.
Leads Quality department efforts to support production processes and Culture of Zero goals and objectives are met in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Oversees customer engagement for customer quality audits, responses, returns, complaints and other quality related matters.
Drives implementation of proactive quality improvement projects and problem solving processes including utilization of applicanble standard root cause analysis tools.
Standardizes product inspection and testing methods to ensure compliance with customer and industrystandards.
Supports and ensure local deployment and utilization of companywide systems such as SAP Quality Management.
Utilizes operations and quality data to drive change.
Develops, fosters and maintains relationships throughout the company to foster collaboration and teamwork leading to continued success and growth of the local site.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 3 years quality management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Experience in ISO 9001:2015 management systems compliance, continuous improvement and standard qualityand operational excellence tools required.
Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills required.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities with strong interpersonal and leadership skills required.
Excellent computer and data management skills required.

Preferred Education & Experience

ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQM) strongly preferred.
Wire and cable experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience with residential and commercial cable testing requirements preferred.
Knowledge of ICEA, AEIC, CSA, UL and ASTM testing standards a plus.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools a plus.
Previous experience with SAP QM a plus.
Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
