Director, Business Development: Clinical Services

Responsible for management of the individuals and sales growth of a specific region on the East Coast (as determined by PCI). There will be a strong focus on the development of New England and a focus of growth into the Boston Center of Excellence. This position will work with senior leaders in both PCI and client organizations. The primary duties are to mentor and support the Business Development team in the region so that the territory will achieve the annual Sales Target. This will also be achieved by developing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective clients. It is important the person resides in the territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the development and growth of top-line sales and revenue across all PCI Clinical service lines within the team's territories, promote and support Commercial and Manufacturing opportunities via cross-selling.
  • Lead and development the Business Development Team to achieve their annual targets.
  • Develop strategic plans for regional strategy for over a 3-5 year plan.
  • Supports the penetration and high-level engagement at target clients where appropriate and works with the Business Development Executive according to the plan and aspirations for each account. May hold and manage their own accounts as well.
  • Take part in Bi-Annual Strategic Meeting with Leadership to review sales, accounts and strategy.
  • Develop a Plan for the retention and expansion of client base with the BDE in each territory.
  • Manages and maintains high customer satisfaction standards, where applicable, ensuring that the client perceives industry leading value and customer service is being received at all times and communicate to PCI leadership as necessary.
  • Builds and maintains high-level business relationships at multiple levels within PCI and at clients, aspiring to Executive level relations.
  • Conduct Quarterly & Annual Reviews & other HR related tasks like interviewing, onboarding, expense review, time-off approval etc.
  • Prepare sales reports as required. Support special projects as they arise and perform other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
  • Develop, mentor talent while supporting succession planning in each territory.
  • Building a culture of cross selling, developing sales methodologies and defining KPI's,

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5-7 years related experience and/or training.
  • College Level Mathematical Skills
  • Advanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs.
  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
  • Highest Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems and deal with nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases while dealing with concrete/abstract variables.
  • Ability to Travel

  • Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Ability to display original thinking and creativity.
