Job Description

Dewberry is seeking a Graphic Designer with exceptional creative and critical thinking skills to serve as a key member of its communications department. Working in collaboration with a team of layout and multi-media designers, writers, and marketing professionals, the graphic designer would be responsible for the development of creative layouts, presentations, illustrations, social media graphics, and exhibits in support of Dewberry's business operations.

Responsibilities

    Work with creative services director, manager, and design team to develop creative solutions while upholding company brand standards and quality control of visual materials.
  • Conceptualize and execute designs for the business development and marketing teams.
  • Support the pursuit of new work through the development of complex internal and external marketing materials primarily for qualifications statements, proposals, and presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with proposal manager and proposal team to design compelling layouts for proposal sections to include resumes, project descriptions, narrative sections, and presentations.
  • Analyze and recommend creative techniques to turn strategic objectives into persuasive visual content.
  • As needed on work projects, consult with clients and/or colleagues to determine the appropriate form and tone of content being captured and gives input on appropriate visual imagery.
  • Manage various assignments simultaneously, including long-term where multiple parties are involved.
  • Recognize and apply best practices, industry trends, and design standards.
  • Maintain awareness of existing photography and graphics.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, or communications.
  • Two to three years of experience in a professional setting; some A/E/C industry experience preferred.
  • Expertise in Adobe CC software including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; Proficient in MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Premiere Pro a plus.
  • Strong digital illustration, infographic design, and technical design skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to provide excellent quality control.
  • Creative, artistic, and critical thinking skills are a must with strong focus on attention to detail.
  • Must possess conceptual ability and experience in layout and/or large documents.
  • Must possess a strong adherence to detail and good time management skills.
  • Self-starter, reliable, responsible and dependable; adaptable and flexible.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment to develop constructive/cooperative working relationships.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize assignments to meet critical deadlines, a must.
