Responsibilities
JOB TITLE: Evening Receptionist REPORTS TO: CFO EXEMPTION STATUS: Non-exempt SUPERVISES: Not Applicable POSITION SUMMARY: The evening receptionist works part-time greeting visitors, checking them in, and communicating their presence to the appropriate staff. Answer multi-line telephone and direct calls to appropriate staff/units of the hospital. Performs administrative tasks or organization of patient charts at desk between calls/visitors. Expected to give a minimum of two (2) weeks notice prior to voluntary resignation. A probationary period of 90 days is required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions:
WORKING CONDITIONS: Duties require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and some lifting. Position involves both working independently, and working with others. Rarely will be exposed to hazardous/infectious material. Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable disease. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED: Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent (documentation of completion is required). Must be in good mental health and physical condition and willing to work with psychiatric patients & families. Must have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and be reliable as hours are in the evening. Have the ability to handle hazardous/infectious waste on a rare basis. Have the ability to lift and carry up to thirty (30) pounds on an occasional basis. Have the ability to communicate verbally, see well enough to read written material and discern a variety of odors continuously. Must be self-directed/self-motivated; must have good communication and interpersonal skills; must be flexible.
