Responsibilities

Howmet is a world leader in the investment casting industry and is a leading supplier of superalloys, aluminum, and titanium components for aerospace, automotive, and commercial transportation applications. Our Wichita Falls location is on the front edge of the rapid growth in the aerospace and turbine industries. Nestled halfway between Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, our facility in Wichita Falls supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the Aerospace industry.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for accurately processing daily domestic and export shipments to customers and other miscellaneous shipments using Howmet's standard systems. Provide support in the areas of customer service and record retention.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Must always work in a safe manner.
* Process daily shipments.
* Guarantee accuracy of work.
* Make decisions or seek help as required.
* Scan, copy, and file paperwork.
* Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Process daily shipments to customers using Howmet's standard systems (OHCMS and EBS).
* Communicate with customers, freight forwarders, and freight carriers.
* Prepare required export paperwork.
* Process miscellaneous shipments.
* Perform data entry in customer websites.
* Prepare reports and other documents.
* Maintain records and files.
* Provide internal and external customer services.
* Work with planners regarding flow to meet carrier deadlines.
* Communicate with a variety of people at various Howmet facilities.
* Make decisions on freight movement when issues occur (substituting carriers, etc.).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED:

1. Physical Demands:
* Must pass Jaeger I eye exam.

2. Equipment Used:
* Standard Office Equipment.

3. Work Environment:
* Majority of time is spent in an air-conditioned office area.
* Majority of time is spent sitting, but also requires walking and lifting.
* Requires wearing standard PPE, including safety glasses, ear plugs and metatarsal shoes.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

* This position entails access to export-Controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience working in a manufacturing environment or inventory control.
* Two years clerical experience.
* Excellent math and computer skills.
* OHCMS knowledge.
* Working knowledge of export compliance requirements.
