An Advisor/Consultant M*xico - Aerospace Engineer is currently available through Belcan in Mexico. This job is a flexible, subcontract that will deploy to customer suppliers for the duration of the project. Projects can vary in area of specialty and length pending the complexity and magnitude of the situation. As critical needs arise this job will deploy to support, execute, and drive measurable solutions and outcomes. Most qualified candidates will have past work experience as it relates to aerospace industry. Specifically, we are looking for Advisors with subject-matter-expertise related to aerospace manufacturing processes, supply chain, aerospace hardware, and other niche specialties.

Job Duties:
* Deploy and travel to the supplier(s) as needed. Work content can require extensive travel.
* Act as an advisor and consult suppliers by working as a team member ensuring critical customer needs are met.
* Use quality tools to develop strategic objectives and tactical implementation for different process elements to improve, measure, monitor supplier performance.
* Assess and communicate technical risks.
* Design and maintain forms for recording, evaluating, and reporting.
* Work independently on projects to solve problems of various degrees of complexity.
* Perform and coordinate audits

Minimum Qualifications:
* Ability to travel as needed and deploy rapidly in short notice to begin work due to assessment, supply chain disruptions, and project improvement initiatives.
* Subject Matter Expert (SME) as it relates to aerospace manufacturing.
* Extensive work experience within one or more of the following disciplines: aerospace hardware, aerospace core components, aerospace manufacturing processes and supply chain related, etc.
* Ability to operate onsite alone or in a team environment professionally representing Belcan to support multiple parties" interests (Customer/Supplier).
* Operate with speed and precision.
* Responsible for detecting, investigating, leading, and driving down complex supplier issues.
* Demonstrated capability to accurately assess quality deficiencies in manufacturing processes, and possesses the technical know-how to troubleshoot and solve complex manufacturability problems.
* Must have experience in both short and long-term improvement projects, with demonstrated capability to gain consensus and implement manufacturing process improvements.
* Proficient in their understanding and performance drivers of contracted KPIs.
* Root cause analysis and lean methodologies to aid in both throughput, quality and capacity related issues.
* Administers Supplier Corrective Action system and works with suppliers to resolve/correct quality and delivery problems.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
* ASQ Certification is a plus
* Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as it applies to Supplier Management
* Diplomatic approach to relationships
* Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
* Assertive, optimistic, resilient and welcomes change
* Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working together
* Shows moral courage, openness and honesty in all dealings
* Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
* Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification or studying towards CIPS qualification would be beneficial
