The Manager General Auditing leads teams of audit professionals in performing audits over business processes, risks and internal controls (including control design, effectiveness and efficiency) in accordance with The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards). Additional responsibilities include scheduling, planning, monitoring fieldwork progress and communicating status and results to Audit Services leadership (Director and Vice President). The Manager General Auditing acts as a main contact for audit projects encompassing all CPS Energy business units (financial, operational and compliance) and can often involve coordinating information with other audit team leadership (co-sourced audit firm and Information Systems Auditor) for staffing, fieldwork, reporting, etc. Grade: 18 Tasks and Responsibilities

Demonstrated progression in internal and/or external audit roles
Effective manager with strong relationship skills and a client service work ethic
Ability to work under pressure and handle simultaneous assignments while leading by example to meet professional standards of documentation and due professional care
Willing to maintain appropriate attention to detail and take ownership of audit projects, staff and results
Team player with proven interpersonal and organizational skills who leads others in performing audits of confidential and high-profile business subjects
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with very strong organizational and management agility
Demonstrated ability to become a strategic partner to audit stakeholders
Possesses advanced knowledge of business processes and accounting and/or information systems concepts
Possesses an extensive knowledge of internal control and risk assessment concepts, practices, and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
Proficient in documenting and reviewing audit work electronically in an audit management system (e.g., TeamMate, Pentana)
Must have favorable driving record
Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, or other related certification [achieved an audit related certification (CPA, CIA, CFE, CISSP, CMA, etc)] Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university. Required Certifications
Working Environment
Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi- functioning printer and calculator.
Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events. After hours work may be required. Physical Demands
