About the Role

Our Beauty Client is seeking a motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join their Trade Compliance team. This individual will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and key business decisions.

This role offers hands-on exposure to financial operations including data entry, variance analysis, financial modeling, and performance reporting. It's an excellent opportunity for an early-career candidate (0-2 years of experience) with a strong academic foundation in Finance or Accounting and a genuine interest in international trade to gain experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Data Management: Collect, process, and validate financial data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial reports related to customs tariffs, brokerage fees, and VAT (value-added tax) liabilities
  • Analysis: Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget), trend analysis, and assist with financial modeling and forecasting
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and contribute to financial planning and performance evaluation
  • Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile financial reports using SAP and Excel


Essential Skills



  • Technical: Strong Excel skills (including advanced formulas), financial systems, and data analysis capabilities; exposure to financial modeling
  • Analytical: High attention to detail with strong critical thinking and ability to interpret complex datasets
  • Soft Skills: Effective communication, collaboration, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships or entry-level roles acceptable)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processes


Bonus Qualifications



  • Experience with SAP
  • Exposure to import/export or trade compliance reporting
