POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for monitoring test procedures and equipment within production and manufacturing to produce high quality products. The ideal candidate must be able to work 8 hours per day and 5 days per week with punctuality in addition to working overtime as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Other duties may be assigned)

  • Review product specs and blueprints for scheduled work assignments.
  • Prepare units for test to include filling fluids, installing test instruments, and pre-setting controls.
  • Check units' wiring and flows using the proper documentation.
  • Test units using the proper documents and test equipment.
  • Record and calculate data.
  • Perform final run on units as assigned.
  • Prepare unit for shipment, and test related items.
  • Responsible for good housekeeping of individual work area.
  • Responsible for maintaining a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.
  • Other assignments as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or higher supervisor/s.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 2 years of related experience, and a broad knowledge of the section and the operation of machines, equipment, and tools that will be used in the satisfactory performance of duties.
  • Ability to use, read, and interprets drawings and measuring scale or tape proficiently.
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain as well as restricted spaces.
  • The ability to climb ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to kneel, bend, and stand for long periods.
  • The ability to work in and around areas with limited space.
  • Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting Hydraulics, Air Conditioning, and Diesel Engine applications.
  • Certified to handle refrigerants per EPA 40 CFR 82 Subpart F prior to use - type 2 or universal, preferred but not required.

Schedule:

  • 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:30am-3:00pm

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
