Get to Know Your Team:

  • Hillcrest Hospital Pryor is a 48-bed acute care hospital that provides a range of health care services to the community, including emergency services, urology, ENT, gastroenterology, cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery and wound care.
  • Under the direction of the Radiology Director, this individual must be able to operate all routine CT and radiographic equipment in a safe and proficient manner.
  • This person must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered, or be registry eligible, with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. ARRT certification, if not held at time of hire, CT registry is required within 1 year from date of hire, five years of Radiology/CT experience preferred.
  • Must be able to produce high quality CT examinations and radiographs with a minimum of repeats.
  • This position is accountable for operating the C.T. scanner and Radiology equipment, transportation of patients to and from the department, managing the daily schedule.
  • Must be able to handle multiple room assignments and all different types of exams on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel.
  • Must directly oversee all duties assigned to first year x-ray students, and indirectly oversee all duties assigned to second year students; will assist in evaluation of student progress.
  • Will participate in CT performance improvement initiatives.
  • Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department.
  • This position requires 24-hour mandatory On-Call, requiring a return time of 45 minutes to the hospital when called.

Job Requirements:

  • Technical or Associate's radiography degree
  • Current ARRT license (upon hire)
  • Competency in components of Radiography practices.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • One year experience.
