The Peter Stark Producing Program within the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California is a graduate program granting a two-year MFA degree in producing for film, television, and new media. The Stark Program is seeking an adjunct faculty member with high-level practical experience to teach an advanced level course in scheduling and budgeting for film and television. This is an in-depth applied course in physical production planning for filmed media projects. Qualified candidates will have extensive experience working as a physical production executive or line producer in film or television. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree Minimum Experience: Five years of professional experience as a physical production executive or line producer in the film and television industry. Preferred Education: Master's degree Preferred Experience: Ten years of professional experience as a physical production executive or line producer in the film and television industry. Demonstrated teaching experience, ideally at the college level, but inclusive of professional and community seminars, workshops, and mentorships. USC reserves the "Adjunct" appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year but, in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean. Successful applicants will be hired for a specific course and employment is contingent on the course proceeding without cancellation. The hourly rate range for this position is $30.00 -$45.00 per hour.
