Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Sales Engineer for the Tactical Cross Domain Server (TACDS) product line. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

Onboards new customers guiding them through the TACDS features and Customer Support services available

Develops recommendations to meet customer needs, including system configurations, installation planning, etc.

Supports on-site integration and Site Based Security Assessment (SBSA)

Works with Customers to develops rule set configurations specific to the Customer's use case

Identifies opportunities for additional sales

Supports troubleshooting of TACDS Customer issues and works with Engineering to resolve outstanding Customer issues.

Prepares and presents technical product briefs and related information to Customers regarding all aspects of the TACDS product line

Supports requests for proposal (RFP) response preparation and submittals.

Conducts follow-up customer engagements to assess and ensure effective implementation of TACDS products.

Develops and delivers TACDS training to customer base.

Provides oversight and direction to team of Technical Support specialists

Works with key stakeholders (engineering, BD, sales, and customers) to assess potential application of company products to meet customer needs

Contributes to the development of product solutions, specifications and requirements

Approximately 35% Travel may be required

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Experience with Cross Domain Servers and understanding of the Raise the Bar requirements

Proven ability to interact with target Customers at all levels.

Ability to present technical and product solutions to small and large audiences

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to think creatively, multi-task and work independently without significant direction

Capable of hands- on problem solving with ability to engage and communicate with cross functional teams comprised of Product Line Management, Engineering, Contracts, Finance and Sales.

Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems

Experience in Government contract vehicles supporting procurement activities proficiency in compliance/regulatory reporting and guidelines also highly desired.

Target salary range: USD $172,401.00/Yr. - USD $178,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
