Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Create, maintain, and execute production schedules and work orders to support manufacturing operations and customer demand.
  • Monitor ERP/MRP planning signals and take appropriate planning actions.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Quality teams to ensure material availability and on-time production.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support inventory optimization activities including safety stock, reorder points, and lot sizing
  • Identify and communicate material shortages, schedule risks, and production constraints
  • Support ERP data integrity including item masters, BOMs, routings, and planning parameters
  • Participate in MRB, change control, and continuous improvement activities from a planning perspective.
  • Develop and maintain planning reports, KPIs, and operational metrics
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in production planning, supply chain, inventory control, manufacturing operations, procurement, logistics, or related operational functions preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing, biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated environment is a plus.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP Systems preferred.


    • JD Edwards (JDE) experience strongly preferred.


  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) is a plus.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • Understanding of production planning, inventory control, supply chain, and MRP concepts
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments, including cGMP and ISO standards, preferred
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and move throughout office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.



  • May occasionally be required to lift and/or move materials up to 25lbs.
  • May occasionally require work in manufacturing or warehouse areas
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment with a hybrid schedule possible.

The role may require occasional interaction within warehouse, laboratory, or manufacturing areas while adhering to all applicable safety and gowning procedures.

COMPENSATION SUMMARY:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $67,900 to $101,000. This salary range represents a general guideline as MSD considers other factors when presenting an offer of employment, such as scope and responsibilities of the position, external market factors, and the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience. Employees may qualify for a discretionary or non-discretionary bonus in addition to their base salary. These annual bonuses are intended to recognize individual performance and enable employees to benefit from the Company's overall success.
