SCOPE: Under general supervision, oversees, maintains and coordinates actions for physician credentialing, licensure and hospital privileges activities. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Our Gynecologic Oncology team offers an integrative approach to the diagnosis, treatment and surgical management of women cancers. Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates activities with physicians and hospitals during the privilege approval process.
  • Credentials and recredentials physicians according to quality standards and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current physician licensure files and provides information to hospitals and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Notifies physicians of licensure expirations and submits licensure applications and renewal forms with payment to State agencies and appropriate departments.
  • Requests and completes hospital credentialing and privileges applications for physicians.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (some college preferred).
  • Minimum one to three years physician credentialing experience.
