Entry-Level Data Center Technician Job Description TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Data Center Technician to join our team in the Greater Nashville Area. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience supporting critical data center infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for candidates looking to start a career in data centers, low-voltage installation, or IT infrastructure. Responsibilities * Install, terminate, and label cabling (Cat5, Cat6) within a data center environment * Assist with low-voltage installations, including cabling pathways and equipment racks * Perform basic troubleshooting of connectivity and cabling issues * Support installation of related systems such as CCTV, access control, and security devices * Maintain clean, organized, and standards-compliant work areas * Document work completed, including cable runs and equipment updates * Follow safety procedures and data center operational standards * Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and quality expectations Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Entry-level experience or strong interest in data center, cabling, or telecommunications work * Basic knowledge of Cat5/Cat6 cabling and low-voltage systems * Willingness to learn data center standards and best practices * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions * Reliable transportation and punctual attendance * Comfortable working extended hours as required Certifications or technical coursework are a plus but not required.
