Accounting Specialist - 100% Onsite \| Hopewell, VA \| $20-$25/hr Location: Onsite in Hopewell, VA Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM (flexible lunch) Hours: 30 hours/week to start, anticipated increase to 40 hours/week Start Date: within 2 weeks About the Role We're seeking a detailoriented Accounting Specialist to support daily financial operations within a small, collaborative office environment. This role is fully onsite and works closely with the AP team and HR/Special Affairs. The company's main corporate office is located in Taiwan, so comfort working across significant timezone differences is important. This position is open due to an upcoming departure and temporary leave within the HR/Accounting support team. Key Responsibilities * Enter and process journal entries in SAP * Maintain and reconcile bank account balances * Perform monthend closing tasks * Analyze financial data and prepare financial/statistical reports * Receive invoices after payment and ensure accurate SAP entry * Perform cost coding * Reconcile bank statements * Manage, enter, and code large credit card balances * Support AP/AR functions, including followup on outstanding items * Assist with 1099 preparation as needed Experience & Qualifications * SAP experience strongly preferred * Background in finance, accounting, or AP/AR * Experience generating statistical or financial reports * Strong research and analytical skills * Ability to work independently in a small office * Comfortable coordinating with teams across different time zones Work Environment * Small office of approximately 12 employees * Around 40 employees on the production side * Frequent interaction with AP and HR/Special Affairs teams Interview Process * Twostep process * Phone interview with HR/Special Affairs (as available) * Onsite interview with the local leadership team Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopewell, VA.
