The Audit Liaison serves as a central coordinator for the University of Virginia's annual external audit process which includes three state agencies (University of Virginia, Medical Center, and College at Wise). This role is responsible for managing audit timelines, coordinating deliverables and facilitating communication between auditors and University Stakeholders to ensure smooth, efficient audit process. The Audit Liaison works in close partnership with Financial Reporting, the Controller's Office, General Accounting and functional units across the University to ensure audit requests are fulfilled accurately and on time. This position plays a critical role in aligning stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring audit readiness across the enterprise. The position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Finance and University Controller and requires strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills to support a complex, multi-entity audit environment. Compensation range of from $85k to $110 per year based on education, experience, and certifications. This position will remain open until filled. This is a 2-year term limited, restricted position. This is an exempt level, benefited position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree. 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: Four years of relevant experience. Licensure: Subject matter licensure may be required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
