Overview As an Environmental Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Johnson City, TN office, you'll support environmental projects for clients across the manufacturing, energy, mining, and real estate markets. You'll perform a variety of technical and regulatory tasks, including environmental permitting and compliance, environmental site assessments, remedial investigations, data management, and technical reporting. Your work will include both office and field-based responsibilities, with field activities such as monitoring well and soil boring installation, lithologic characterization, soil, sediment, groundwater, and stormwater sampling, hydrogeologic data collection, remedial implementation oversight, and compliance auditing. You'll collaborate with clients, contractors, and government officials throughout the project lifecycle-from site assessment and remedial investigation through design, procurement, and remedial implementation. This position requires periodic overnight travel, up to approximately one week per month.
