Hours: Monday - Friday clinic hours, occasional weekend call.

Join Oklahoma Heart Hospital (OHH) as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in our Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinic, delivering specialized care to patients with cardiac and thoracic conditions across the surgical continuum.

This role supports cardiothoracic surgeons in both outpatient clinic and inpatient settings, managing pre-operative, post-operative, and follow-up care for patients undergoing heart and lung procedures. The APP performs comprehensive clinical evaluations, coordinates care, and ensures high-quality outcomes for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide cardiothoracic patient care in clinic and hospital environments
• Conduct pre-op assessments and post-op follow-up visits for cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
• Perform history & physicals (H&P), consults, and discharge summaries
• Manage post-surgical complications, wound care, and recovery plans
• Interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab results related to cardiothoracic conditions
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support hospital rounding, surgical coordination, and patient education
• Respond to physician calls and assist during procedural coverage

Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP or Acute Care NP) - Board certified, Oklahoma licensed

Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Graduate of ARC-PA accredited program, Oklahoma licensed

Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Acute Care certified, Oklahoma licensed

Licensure/Certification: BLS certification required; Cardiology or cardiovascular experience preferred
