Position summary:Position summary: Pediatric Med/Surge Provides direct psychological, social and practical care to a select caseload of patients and families including social work assessments, problem identification, goal setting and implementation of care plans. Makes referrals to outside agencies and coordinates continuity of care. Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Contributes to the attainment of organizational goals. Will be required to provide coverage during absences, vacancies and on call. Required Licensure Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW level. Exceptions: * Has an application for a license pending before the Board or * Has successfully passed an examination or examinations prescribed by the Board pertinent to the license sought. Work Experience: 1 year of experience in providing clinical social work service, preferably, in a mental health/health care setting (internship may apply). Salary Range: Minimum 32.40/hour - Maximum 53.48/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
