Microsoft's Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) Public Affairs team works at the intersection of technology, public policy, and societal impact. AsSenior Manager,Digital Channel Strategy for Public Affairs,you will develop and executedigitalmarketingchannel strategiesto engagethought leaders,policyinsidersand government stakeholderswith the goal toenhanceawarenessofour corporate responsibility work,buildingtrustand credibility for Microsoft'sglobal business.

In this role youwill usedata-driven insights todevelopstrategiesforownedchannelsactivations(primarily socialmediaandblog)that help Public Affairsincrease visibility and impact of our core content and narratives. You will developand manage the operational plan that will driveefficiencies,agilityand growth to ourownedchannels.You willbe responsible forestablishingand implementing channel best practices,definingand tracking goals,monitoringperformance benchmarks,and ensuring a cohesive multi-channelexperience across all touchpoints.In this role, you will be the team champion analytics by providing insights and data to inform strategic decision making across the team.

The owned channel responsibilitiesincluderepresentingCELArequests for amplification on Microsoft O&O channels, requiring you to build internal relationships with variousbrand and commercial marketing teams, and to apply sound judgment indeterminingwhat amplification opportunities to pursue. Related, youwill also lead paid boosting ofsocial channelsto grow audienceawareness andengagement.

This rolesits within a digital and marketing team of Public Affairs andpartners closely with colleagues inPublic Affairs Communications, as well aswithprogram stakeholders and external vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee digital channel strategiesandplanningforSocial Mediachannels in LinkedIn, X,Instagramanda newly rebuilt Microsofton the Issues blog.

  • Evaluate new channel opportunitiesalignedto business goals, build the roadmap for a healthy and impactfulowned channel stack.

  • Use analytics,performance data, and sociallisteningto setperformance benchmarks, refine strategies, andoptimizecontent cadence and channel mix.

  • Collaborates across communications, marketing, and business partners to align how ourownedchannels can support priority campaigns and business outcomes, and to respond quickly toemergingopportunities and issues.

  • Manage day-to-dayeditorial calendar for MicrosoftOnthe Issues blogandsocial channels.IncludingestablishinganROB(rhythm of business)for efficient orchestration of content inputs,productionand scheduling.

  • Deliver regular reporting and insights on channel performance, audience engagement, and campaign impact.

  • Drive outreach and amplification across Microsoft owned & operated channels to extend reach beyond ourCELA digital channels.

  • Ownpaid boosting strategy to grow accounts,increase engagement, and drivemessaging frequency.

  • Driveenablementsessions(SME training), sharing digital platformexpertisethat will advance DMC andstakeholderscapabilities in digital and social media marketing.



Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, project management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years' experience using analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Sprinklr, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics) to conduct analysis, develop recommendations and inform strategy.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital strategy, channel management, or marketing communications OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and executing multi-channel digital strategies across web and social platforms.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms, and publishing workflows.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across multi-functional internal and external teams and varying levels of experience.
  • Experience in public affairs, policy communications, or advocacy environments.
  • Knowledge ofaccessibility standards, SEO, and digital UX best practices.
  • Experience managing executive social media programs or high-profile accounts.

Communications IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
