TYPICAL WORK SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Days, Monday - Friday, Overtime is a requirement.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $22.93 to $27.26
per hour with comprehensive benefits package. $33.22 is the top of the pay scale.

JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties involving ice maintenance, inspecting, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining the arena. Serves as lead worker, working with a crew of assigned workers, may assist with or perform skilled trades such as plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and carpentry. Working under minimal supervision this role oversees daily operations, building systems and arena equipment.

Examples of Duties
-
Assists in startup and shutdown of refrigeration equipment. Performs rink change over to ice and back to dry floor as scheduled. Responsible for ice painting, ice building during ice installation. Performs ice maintenance such as edging, dry planning and flooding throughout the ice season. Maintains and repairs Dasherboard system, bleachers and safety netting as needed. Performs ice resurfacing as needed according to schedule. Assists with customers in Pro Shop or Front Office as needed. Perform carpentry work such as wood and drywall upkeep. Make door, window and lock repairs. Cares for plumbing fixtures; maintains equipment. Inspects equipment, including compressors, pumps, condenser, oil levels, heaters, and dehumidifiers; welds and fabricates items. Assists with plowing and removing snow around arena and walkways during winter season. Performs maintenance work such as shoveling, sweeping, maintains concrete areas, roofs, and other similar fixtures of buildings; paints interior and exterior surfaces. Maintains and repairs or assist in repairs of arena equipment to include: Ice Resurfacer, ice edger, compressors, condenser, pumps and motors, Dehumidifier, other HVAC equipment, vacuums, snow blower, etc. Assists with updates of information and documents related to building maintenance and building management systems. Serves as lead worker in the handling of chemicals. Assists with emergency repairs as needed. Assists and coordinates with private contractors. Performs other related duties as assigned, including occasional after hours on-call and seasonal snow removal responsibilities

Typical Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED; and, three to five years of experience performing skilled labor or trades work related to assignment; or, any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. Licenses and Certifications: Valid New Hampshire Driver's License. Will be required to obtain CIT (Certified Ice Technician) Certification within one year of hire depending on offering of courses in the New England area. Others may be required according to assignment.
