This position will lead operational, engineering, IT coordination, and transition activities required to successfully launch the new Southern California DSC, stabilize operations, and decommission the legacy DSC. This role ensures a safe, on time, and cost-effective startup.

Additional Information

The travel for this position is 50%.

This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams 1300 Aviation Parkway Waco, TX 76705.

This is a temporary position.

  • Execute and Implement Capital Projects related to Mfg/Filling Chemical Processes
  • Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for a platform
  • Develop Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for multiple platforms both Domestically and Globally
  • Recommend and Specify new processing equipment and systems in operations
  • Manage internal and external resource groups to ensure proper installation and performance of equipment and processes
  • Create Standards and Guidelines to ensure successful leveraging of people, tools, and processes across the organization
  • Evaluate New or Innovative MFG and Filling processes
  • Work with functional groups to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), eliminate processing issues and customer complaints
  • Ensure equipment meets and exceeds current Safety guidelines - Conduct PHA's, MOC Evaluations, and other safety audits
  • Work with Environmental resources to ensure sites are staying in compliance on Engineered controls
  • Train and mentor site and divisional resources (peers, interns/co-ops, Site Engineers, Site Leadership, Regional Leadership, Process Engineers, Automation Engineers, external contractors)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or ten (10) years of experience in distribution, engineering, or operations
  • Must have at least eight (8) years of work experience in operations or engineering
  • Must have at least three (3) years of work experience in project execution in site or regional level
  • Must have Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)
  • Must have work experience with successful execution of capex projects at the Regional/Divisional level
  • Must have work experience with tangible application of Engineering and Continuous Improvement
  • Must have work experience in AutoCAD
  • Must have work experience with general safety engineering

Preferred Qualification:

  • Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
  • Have Blackbelt Certification
  • Have Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Have work experience with pertinent National Fire Protection Associate (NFPA) & National Electrical Code (NEC) codes
  • Have work experience with engineering Practices (RAGAGEP)
  • Have work experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio
  • Bilingual
