Rize Credit Union is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Summer Intern to support our Accounting & Finance team! This paid, part-time position is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to financial operations while building valuable analytical, administrative, and professional skills in a financial services environment. Schedule: 24 - 29 hours/week About the Role As a Finance Summer Intern, you'll support a high-performing Finance team responsible for monthly financial reporting, regulatory deliverables, and committee reporting (ALCO, Board, and Pricing). This role provides hands-on exposure to real financial workflows, deadlines, and reporting cycles within a credit union environment. You'll contribute to the monthly close process while supporting documentation and process improvement projects that create lasting impact across the department. What You'll Do: * Assist with monthly financial reporting tasks, including data entry, report preparation, and file organization * Support the creation and organization of committee packages (Board, ALCO, Pricing) * Download, track, and maintain financial data and reporting files * Refresh and maintain tracking logs and reporting tools (including Excel-based reports) * Monitor report completion and follow up on outstanding deliverables * Assist with documentation of key finance processes and workflows * Support process improvement projects, including documenting procedures and building tracking tools * Shadow finance team members to learn reporting processes and financial analysis workflows * Utilize AI tools (Claude) to support verification and process efficiency What We're Looking For: SKILLS: * Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data organization) * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Clear and professional written communication * Strong organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines * Professional verbal communication and follow-up skills * Comfort working with technology and interest in AI tools INTERESTS: * Finance, FP&A, Forecasting, Budgeting, or Data Analysis * Financial reporting and regulatory environments * Process improvement and operational efficiency * Learning how financial institutions operate Why Join Us? * Hands-on experience in financial reporting within a regulated financial institution * Exposure to executive-level reporting (Board, ALCO, Pricing Committees) * Opportunity to work with AI tools in real finance workflows * Knowledge and skills that will be used beyond the internship * Mentorship from experienced finance professionals * A chance to build your resume and professional network * Ready to launch your career in finance this summer?
