As our Centralized Processor 1, you'll play a key role behind the scenes-ensuring consumer loans are processed accurately, funded on time, and completed in full compliance. Your work directly supports members and internal partners, helping deliver seamless experiences across personal loans, vehicle loans, credit cards, and secured products.

What You'll Do:

Process & Fund Consumer Loans
Accurately and timely process and fund non-home equity consumer loan products, delivering smooth and reliable experiences for members.

Ensure Compliance & Accuracy
Consistently adhere to regulatory requirements, Summit Credit Union policies, and established procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance throughout the loan lifecycle.

Manage Queues & Work Independently
Maintain excellent turnaround times by managing assigned processing queues while collaborating with peers to support centralized processing and indirect loan funding needs.

Review & Complete Documentation
Thoroughly review, prepare, and finalize loan documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance at every stage.

Communicate Effectively
Partner with members and internal teams to resolve questions, provide clarity, and support positive, timely outcomes.

Support Operational Goals
Contribute proactively to department success by meeting productivity metrics and operational efficiency goals established by leadership.


What You Bring:

  • Associate degree or applicable equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years' combined experience in at least two of the following: financial environment, lending, retail, or relevant business/customer service roles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an NMLS number, as required.
  • Demonstrated experience processing consumer loans and preparing associated documentation.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending regulations, including RESPA, TRID, flood, and Reg Z, as applicable.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills when working with members and coworkers.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Physical Demands of Position
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand, and walk, and use hands and fingers. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 10 pounds.

Environmental / Working Conditions
Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Travel to branches requires exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions.

Equipment Used
Variety of office equipment including telephone, printer, PC, and mobile devices.
