Description

The Supply Chain Buyer/Planner is responsible for planning and purchasing manufacturing raw materials and maintaining inventory in the ERP system. The Supply Chain Buyer/Planner will also serve as a backup to the Production Schedulers. The Supply Chain Buyer/Planner must be able to manage complexity in a 24x7 manufacturing environment as a collaborative problem solver.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and foster our "people first" culture.
  • Management of Raw Materials

    • Manage raw material ordering to ensure adequate supply for the manufacturing schedule with consideration for safety stocks, lead-times, space, and maximum inventory levels.
    • Interface with suppliers on matters related to material purchasing, such as providing forecasts, expediting orders, and resolving receipt discrepancies.
    • Coordinate with Production Schedulers to ensure material availability for manufacturing operations in a fast changing environment.
    • Represent Supply Planning on new product development teams, ensuring that all inventory is available for new product launches.
    • Partnering with Quality / Engineering / R&D to ensure materials placed on Hold are efficiently evaluated for release / scrap to meet sales order requirements.


  • Production Scheduling

    • Manage the conversion of the Supply Plan to a Master Production Schedule. Responsible for balancing demands of sales order fulfillment with manufacturing efficiency.
    • Implementing and measuring schedule adherence for root cause analysis.


  • Continuous Improvement

    • Leverage experience to identify and implement process improvements for working capital and production efficiency.
    • Manage new item set-up and maintain ERP settings to drive system accuracy and reduce requirement for external data modeling

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for leaders with a Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business administration, engineering, or finance and a minimum 4 years' experience in Supply Chain Planning. Having experience with JDE is a plus.
