Senior/Staff Application Engineer - Gas Turbine Control Systems

Are you an experienced Application Engineer with expertise in Gas Turbine systems? We have an exciting opportunity just for you! We are seeking a talented and high-potential engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of control systems for aeroderivative gas turbines used in industrial applications.

Senior Application Engineer:

Estimated annual base pay: $93,000 (minimum) - $121,000 (midpoint) - $149,000(maximum)

Staff Application Engineer:

Estimated annual base pay: $113,000 (minimum) - $147,000 (midpoint) - $181,000(maximum)

Senior Application Engineer:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems for fuel delivery, emissions management, and auxiliary systems in gas turbines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize industrial turbine performance.
  • Ensure system reliability and efficiency for aeroderivative gas turbine applications.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in gas turbine systems, with a focus on control systems.
  • Strong engineering background and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to innovation and excellence in industrial applications.

Other Qualifications:

  • 4 Year Bachelors BS degree AND 4+ years equivalent experience

Staff Application Engineer:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Development: Fully proficient with application software and associated operator interface/HMI software. Capable to structure application software and develop innovative solutions.
  • Resolve Technical Challenges: Guides cross functional teams in diagnosing and addressing complex technical issues using innovative and analytical approaches.
  • Develop Technology Solutions: Designs and implements advanced application solutions to enhance product functionality and operational efficiency.
  • Lead Complex Projects: Directs medium to largescale application engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to technical standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Provides expert recommendations to senior management on technology best practices and strategic improvements for processes and services.

Key Skills:

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrates mastery in engineering principles and applications relevant to the role.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external subject matter experts across various functions to support project initiatives and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Expertise in addressing and resolving sophisticated technical issues with innovative solutions.
  • Advisory Skills: Experience in providing expert advice to leadership on advanced technical matters. Mentor for local or global engineers and handle multiple resources an/or interns to keep programs running efficiently.
  • Risk Management: Proficient in identifying and mitigating project related risks to support business objectives.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities for in depth evaluation and data driven decision making.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to identify and implement best practices to enhance technological processes and services.
  • Apply New Technologies: Research and provide marketing technical analysis and market based research of new technologies and competitive analysis. Participant in strategic planning activities with Product Managers and customer opportunity development with sales teams.
  • Applying Standards: Strong knowledge of standards and the ability to apply complex groupings of standards into projects. Ability to quickly learn, interpret and apply new standards.
