Primary Purpose:

TowneBank is a relationship and friendship driven local bank focused on basic human values that will serve to create a warm sense of belonging and financial well-being among our family of members. We are seeking a Loan Operations Representative who is responsible for daily loan booking and loan maintenance activities, assorted clerical loan related tasks while providing exquisite customer service to both internal and external members.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Monitor daily work queues to review for accuracy and process new loan bookings to the Bank core system.
  • Monitor daily work queues to review for accuracy and process loan maintenance to the Bank core system.
  • Provide exquisite service to both internal and external members, focusing on providing guidance quickly to internal members requiring loan support.
  • Process monetary and clerical functions as needed to loan accounts.
  • Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education
  • Previous experience with loan document preparation, booking, or review.
  • Strong customer service skills in person, on telephone, and through email
  • Must be able to work independently, use logic and judgement to make appropriate decisions, and work well under pressure to meet monthly deadlines
  • Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office products


Desired Skills & Competencies:



  • Education with an emphasis in banking/finance or accounting
  • Previous experience with the Bank core system


Physical Requirements:



  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
