Lead Scheduling Specialist

Purpose:

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a full-time Lead Scheduling Specialist to oversee the requirements of the Statement of Work (SOW), in Wallops Island, VA.

Job Description:

Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.
Identify and assess potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Continuously seek ways to improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies.
Gathers facts, analyzes data, and prepares project synopsis comparing alternatives; recommends action and prepares specifications.
Determines and resolves data collection problems and coordinates the work with personnel.
Adapts operational and test approaches successfully used in precedent systems.
Performs research documentation development.
Plans and conducts or directs personnel in performing complex experiments to test, prove or modify propositions on the basis of research findings.
Prepares technical reports for use by engineering, scientific, operational, or management personnel for planning, or by personnel in technical services activities.

Qualifications:

Must have High School Diploma and GED and at least 7 years overall experience with Aegis or SSDS combat system baseline configurations, to include supporting elements and equipment, communication systems, and a good understanding of the interdependencies and interfaces associated with these systems.
Must have at least 5 years of experience in the de-confliction of complex events and shared equipment; concise and accurate understanding of items that impact current and future scheduled events; ability to generate high-level and detailed projections; ability to forecast complex schedules; proficiency using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) along with other database programs.
Must have 3 years of experience utilizing the scheduling tool is required.

Security Requirements:

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Prefer an Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel up to 25%.
If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
