Salary Details The academic year salary for an Instructor will not be less than $75,152, based on the most recent collective bargaining agreement between the faculty union (AAUP-AFT) and Rutgers University.

Posting Summary
The Department of Economics, Rutgers University, New Brunswick will be hiring two full-time NTT Lecturers (Instructor) for one-year positions to begin as early as September 2026. Teaching responsibilities for the positions include teaching large sections (200+ students) of courses such as introductory microeconomics and macroeconomics, smaller (<100) elective courses such as international economics, money and banking, financial economics, and/or intermediate level micro- or macro-economics. In addition to teaching, successful candidates will be asked to serve as a coordinator of teaching assistants for introductory-level courses or to perform other service functions. Successful applicants will receive a contract for one academic year. Review of applications will begin April 20th. Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D. in Economics is preferred, but other graduate study or relevant industry experience is valued as well. Applicants must have three years' experience in teaching economics at the University level, including previous experience teaching large sections.
