Porters will be primarily responsible for pulling vehicles in and out of a canopy structure. Porters are expected to assist customers and coworkers alike while following our company's safety policies. Pennsylvania state traffic laws are rules for the road for this job . Work schedule Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm Pay Rate: $15.27 Job Responsibilities: Transportation of Vehicles: Move cars around the lot to ensure efficient use of space and organized access to vehicles as needed. Car Distribution: Distribute cars evenly to correct detail bays, maximizing workflow and productivity. Shop Maintenance: Uphold a clean and orderly environment within the shop, contributing to a safe and efficient workspace for all. Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate "lost" vehicles. Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed. Inflate tires and jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank if necessary. Notify the supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify the Service or Gas Truck Driver when the vehicle is out of gas. Assist customers (i.e., dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed. Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Perform other duties as assigned by management. May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate. Qualifications: Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required Constantly required to enter and exit vehicles. Ability to sit for prolonged periods. Ability to walk long distances. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, and climbing are frequently required. Ability to lift 1-15 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous auction experience preferred. Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions. Work Environment: Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level. USD 15.27 per hour Compensation: Hourly pay rate is $15.27. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Benefits: Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
