University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Perfusionist to join our growing practice in the Twin Cities.

If you are a Perfusionist looking for an opportunity to work with an amazing team of 14 adult perfusionists in a practice that spans both academic and community hospital settings, then look no further.Not only do we have a great team, we have a group of supportive and collegial surgeons that make our work even that more enjoyable!

In This Role, You Will:

  • Provide case coverage for 10 surgeons (and growing) primarily at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center and also M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital
  • Handle predominantly adult bypass cases (including on-pump Cabs, Valves, minimally invasive valves, heart and lung transplants, complex aortic reconstruction, adult congenital, and VADs)
  • Cover ECMO including initiations/transports from outside hospitals, excluding bedside management
  • Handle other procedures including liver transplants, HIPEC, AngioVacs, and more
  • Train future Perfusionists by clinically precepting students from various programs including UNMC and several others

Schedule:

  • 1.0 FTE
  • Variable schedule, in house hospital coverage from 7am-5pm Monday-Friday
  • Call one day per week (Mon-Thurs) and one weekend per month (Fri-Sun)
  • Need to be able to respond to University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis within 30 minutes while on call

We're Looking For a Perfusionist Who Is:

  • Hard-working, has a positive attitude, and a desire to be a team-player.
  • Willing to contribute to the growth and development of the team and has the ability to problem-solve and develop creative solutions to day-to-day challenges.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion Technology Program.
  • Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion or board eligible.
  • Certified in BLS.

The full-time salary range is $181,311-$246,783commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
